BlueScope Buildings Vietnam recently introduced the technologically advanced Butler MR-24 double lock standing seam roofing system.
Designed like a monolithic steel membrane covering the entire building and available only with a complete pre-engineered steel building, the MR-24 roofing system has been engineered to withstand torrential wind, rain, and even snow because the panels are joined using a 360o double-lock standing seam similarly to the sealing system used in oil storage drums or fuel tanks.

A closer look at the high performance and aesthetically pleasing MR-24 roofing system |
Fastened to the purlins with a unique clip formed into the seam, the MR-24 roofing system eliminates expansion and contraction stress on the clips, fasteners and splices caused by temperature fluctuations. The unique clip with a sliding stainless steel tab, allows the MR-24 roofing system to move up to 63mm as it reacts to daily and seasonal temperatures making it twice as durable as a conventional roof with maintenance cost saving benefits.
President of BlueScope Steel Vietnam, Mr Joe Brennan said, “The MR-24 roofing system, available through our pre-engineered steel buildings solution is a strong testament to our efforts in providing our customers with the best solutions for pre-engineered steel buildings. The high quality, time tested and proven MR-24 standing seam roof system will ensure greater peace of mind for our customers. This unique solution is one of the many great product innovations delivered by BlueScope Buildings Vietnam.”
Butler Manufacturing, a business of BlueScope Steel, was the first company to improve the standing seam roof system to provide enhanced weather tightness, aesthetics, design flexibility and a longer lifespan with lower maintenance requirements. |
